Project 1 - October 2019
Introduction to jewellery design
HJI’s Central Saint Martins Short Course Programme begins with Project 1, an introductory course on jewellery design.
Project 1 covers the importance of research and source material, including the use of mood boards, muses and non-visual stimuli - text, abstract/ conceptual ideas. Photos, drawings, collage and objects are all encouraged as part of this process.
The term runs throughout the month of October. Project 1 comprises of 2 hours of group classes, 2 hours of private tutorial classes and 2.5 hours of online lectures taught by Central Saint Martins course lecturer.

Group Classes (Total 2 hours)
Choose 1 session: October 9 (Wednesday) 7pm - 9pm | October 12 (Saturday) 10am - 12pm
Private Classes (Total 2 hours)
Choose 2 sessions: Any Wednesday 1pm - 5pm | Any Saturday 10am - 12:30pm
UK online lecture (Total 2.5 hours)
October 2 (Wednesday) 5pm - 7:30pm (Online lecture will be taped if unable to attend course)
CSM Short Courses
Full programme overview
The Programme is supported by the world-renowned Central Saint Martins (CSM) short course unit. This exciting programme will be digitally led by the CSM, Jewellery Design BA (Hons) first year tutor, Anastasia Young, with support from our experienced HJI teaching team.
Course can be taken as a single stand-alone project, half year programme, or a complete full one year programme.
Certificate of Attendance will be provided by CSM
